Superstar Rajini's Lingaa was always expected to break box office
records all over the world. The thespian's market pull is extra-ordinary and
among the very best considering all Indian stars.
In the USA, Lingaa has broken into the all time Top 5 for Tamil
films and is already the highest grosser among all Tamil films released this
year with a reported gross of806,190 USD, after just the first 2 days
(Thursday and Friday). This figure includes a very minmal contribution from the
Telugu dubbed version.
The film has received mixed reviews but fans seem to love it. We
have to see how the movie holds up during the weekdays, starting tomorrow.
