Santhosh Prathap who
debuted as the aspiring director in Parthiban’s Kathai Thiraikathai Vasanam
Iyakkam is one happy person for he will also be involved in the sequel of sorts
of the film with the director’s next Parthibanin Kindalil Upma Company.
Raised in Arakkonam, this
graduate in Bio-Technology and an MBA in Shipping and Logistics had nurtured a
desire to be in the acting profession right from his fourth grade. Santhosh is
also an athlete, a scuba diver, a swimmer, rock climber and an active fitness
expert.
Having started his ‘in
front’ of the camera journey through the modeling route, Santhosh has
participated in many ramp shows conducted by Sidney Sladen, Sunil Menon,
Karunakaran to name some.
It was in fact destiny
that made Santhosh meet Parthiban in one ramp show when the latter asked him to
come to his office the very next day and that’s how KTVI happened.
Santhosh was actively
involved in most of the creative departments of KTVI and the actor is quite
excited about his experience with the Pudhiya Paadhai maker.
Santhosh cannot stop
raving about Parthiban whose hard work, dedication and passion have really
impressed the youngster. He is also revved about Parthiban’s high energy
levels.
Talking about his crew
members, he adds that there was absolute camaraderie and understanding among
them at the sets of KTVI. He recalls that Thambi Ramaiah was like a father to
all of them who taught voice modulation, dialogue delivery and also shared
quite a lot of performing tips.
While sharing about the
feedback received for the film, Santhosh says, “More than the compliments I
receive for my performance, I am elated by the positive response I get for my
voice because being a North Indian, it is definitely a credit for me to speak Tamil
like a native”.
You ask Santhosh what was very difficult in KTVI, pat comes the
reply - romance. Yes, Santhosh found romantic scenes very difficult to perform
but somehow managed to pull them off, thanks to Parthiban’s direction.
Wishing Santhosh Prathap the very best in all his endeavors!
