her first world championship game to the actress!
Priyanka
Chopra was thrilled to receive such an inspiring gift from Mary. She was
playfully seen bullying people with her new gift and said, “No one takes a
panga with me now, I have become a boxer, and I have boxing gloves too!” Mary
Kom is close to Priyanka’s heart and these gloves have made it even more
special.
The actress
spent four months of rigorous training to get into a boxer’s body. Speaking
about her experience she said, “I didn’t realize how difficult it would be for
my body. As a woman it is hard to get muscles the way boys do. I would train
for three hours to get this body…..it was very difficult. Through this film I
personally learnt a lot about dedication, strength, family and I hope the
audience does the same.” Those gloves are sign of her commitment to the project
and she is proud of it.
