Kick All Set To Enter The 200 Crore Club | 2nd Weekend Box Office Collections

It was mentioned in this column last week that it was just a matter of time when Kick enters the 200 crore club. Well, that has now been assured, what with the film extending its run during the second weekend as well and bringing on over 33.70 crore at the box office. The movie has now made a total business of 197.7 crores at the Box Office in India.
The film has four more days all for itself before Akshay Kumar’s Entertainment takes over a large count of screens. However till then it would be all about Salman Khan ruling the show and finding good audience for himself. He has anyways fetched quite a few records, what with an entry in the 200 crore club, that will be done post today’s collections. Of course, he now has bigger milestones to cross with his next Eid release Bajrangi Bhaijaan which brings him back with Ek Tha Tiger director Kabir Khan.
Sajid Nadiadwala is now the only debutant filmmaker in this super-exclusive club. What makes the film special is the fact that his production house Nadiadwala Grandson has now generated 400 crore business already, what with Kick (~220 crore expected), 2 States (102 crore), Heropanti (50 crore) and Highway (25 crore) keeping the cash registers ringing. A record!
