The box office has been raging ever since the release of Kick. To amass a whopping 26
crores opening despite a full blown working day is something only a
superstar can manage. On the day of Eid, the film again saw an upward growth at
the box office as expected. The single screens across mass based regions were
already running close to housefull in the eve of the Eid festivities.
Though Wednesday will witness a drop for the film, Kick will
still remain steady at earnings of 14-15 crores. With that Kick‘s one
week total has good chances of superseding Shah
Rukh Khan starrer Chennai Express, the
release from last year. Since Chennai Express had paid previews all
over India, the film earned well from those which added to the moolah. If Kick maintains
itself in one week, the film should stand at a cumulative of 156.70 crores.
This also gives the film a good shot at making 200 crores in
10 days. One can expect the drop won’t be too disparate given the zero release
Friday this week. Kick will continue to reign the box office this
weekend and over the weekdays too, the film’s earnings shouldn’t drop too much.
The 200 crore feat will depend solely on the film’s second
weekend. If it manages to score in the range of 45 crores over its second
Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the film will easily become Salman’s first 200
crore film. And it is to be seen, whether the film reach the mark in 10 Days!
