Big B, Rajinikanth, Baba Ramdev To Receive Padma Awards On Republic Day

 The most prestigious and honorary award Padma Awards list is now out. Famed personalities such as Baba Ramdev and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, actors Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth, BJP veteran L K Advani and Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal are amongst the winners and will be conferred with the award on this Republic Day.

 Also veteran actor Dilip Kumar, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, lyricist Prasoon Joshi, who worked on the BJP’s advertisement campaign for the Lok Sabha elections, and scriptwriter Salim Khan, father of actor Salman Khan are amongst the list.

In the arts and culture category, music composer Anu Malik too has bagged an award. Sports stars, Sardara Singh – captain of Hockey team, badminton player P V Sindhu, chess master Sasikiran Krishnan, wrestler Sushil Kumar, his coach Satpal and Arunima Sinha, the first women amputee mountaineer to climb Mount Everest have been rewarded with this prestigious honor.
