Baby: Five Reasons To Watch This Akshay Kumar Thriller

Neeraj Pandey's latest directorial venture Baby, starring Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, Taapsee Pannu and Kay Kay Menon, hits theatres this Friday.

Here are five reasons why we are eagerly waiting for the movie.

1. Neeraj Pandey

Neeraj Pandey has a brilliant track record in Bollywood. His first film A Wednesday was not only critically acclaimed but also created ripples at the box office. The Naseeruddin Shah-Anupam Kher-starrer film got Neeraj the Indira Gandhi Award for Best First Film of a Director at National Awards in 2008. A Wednesday garnered a gross collection of Rs 12 crore at the domestic ticket windows.

His next film Special 26, too is one of the best made heist films in the current lot of Bollywood. Neeraj has written as well as directed Baby.

2. Performances

Baby boasts of actors like Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Anupam Kher, Kay Kay Menon, Danny Denzongpa and Sushant Singh. With as talented a line-up, some spine-chilling performances from both the negative and positive characters will be showcased on the silver screen this Friday.

3. The trio Anupam Kher-Akshay Kumar-Neeraj Pandey

Their last venture, Special 26, was a brilliant heist movie. Now with Baby, the trio promises yet another thriller. And as optimistic Bollywood lovers, we hope the latest film lives up to the expectations.

4. The plot: Terrorism

There has rarely been a Hindi movie that explores the fight our intelligence forces wage against terrorism. With the kind of expertise Neeraj has shown in suspense thrillers we expect a well-researched movie.

5. Rasheed Naaz

Bakhtiar (Heena, 1991) and Salma Agha (Nikaah, 1982) from yesteryears or singers Atif Aslam, Ali Zafar and Adnan Sami or actors Fawad Khan (TV series Humsafar and movie Khoobsurat, 2014) from recent films, artists from across the border have mostly impressed Indian audiences. Pakistani actor Rasheed Naz plays a militant plotting against India in Neeraj Pandey's Baby.
