  Filmmaker S.V.Krishna Reddy has made a comeback into the Tollywood mainstream with the movie “Yamaleela 2, as a sequel of 1994 super hit film ‘Yamaleela’, starring comedian Ali as the Hero for the first time. The movie showered a lot of fun and entertainment among the audience. Even after years, Yamaleela remains a favourite with children and adults alike. Amidst lot of expectations the movie has hit the theatres on Friday .i.e., 28th November. Lets see, whether the movie has reached the expectations or not……!
Story :-
The story starts with narration of Yama Loka. Chitragupta (Brahmanandam), the Assistant to Lord Yama, misses much important book Bhavishyavani. It falls at some place in the Himalayas. He along with Lord Yama (Mohan Babu) starts searching to retreat it again.
On the other hand Krish (K.V.Satish), a Clinical student is a fun loving guy and enjoys life in his own way. He falls in love with Anandi (Diah Nicholas). They both plan to make a research over the disease Leukemia, which has no treatment till now. In this regard, they go to Kerala to find a solution. There, they come to know that Sanjeevani Seeds are useful in finding a solution for the treatment of Leukemia. But, they are not much available in Kerala. Krish leaves for Manasa Sarovaram in the Himalayas to find more “Sanjeevani Plants” for their research. There Krish finds the Bhavishyavani lost by Chitragupta. After opening it, he knows an important fact about his life and gets worried.
Why is Krish so determined to find a solution for Leukemia ? What consequences did Lord Yama and Chitragupta faced for losing Bhavishyavani ? How they got it back from Krish ? To know all these, one has to watch the movie on the screen itself.
Positives :-
* Mohan Babu and Brahmanandam as Yama and Chitragupta respectively acted well.
* Comedy quotient, mainly between Yama and Chitragupta is the main highlight in the film.
* Diah Nicholas in the female lead has been decent.
* Sada sizzled in the “Hai Hai Haiga……” dance number.
* Nisha Kothari makes an unforgettable appearance in a song and a scene.
* The Gabbar Singh Gang comedy forms an extra feature in the film.
* Rest of the cast including Kota Srinivas Rao, M.S.Narayana, Rao Ramesh, Aasish Vidhyarthi, Sayaji Shinde, Posani and Tagubothu Ramesh justified their roles.
Negatives :-
* The main drawback of the film is the Prime element, the Hero Satish. He fails to prove himself as a Hero material for the film. His acting is extremely poor. He lacks the vulnerability required for the character and in fact ruins whatever the little emotion, the story could muster. Particularly his Dialogue Delivery is terrible. He needs to improve a lot for at least to earn respect as an actor.
* Even though, Brahmanandam has played this character before, he looks like pale shadow of his past.
* Without any situation, the songs just appear as a hindrance to the continuing story.
* Even though, there is enough comedy, it is all routine.
* Everything is the replica of Yamaleela, with slight changes just in the sentiment aspect.
Technical Aspects :-
* The Direction of S.V.Krishna Reddy is the biggest weakness in the technical aspect. He has followed the same formula in this movie as well, as he did in Yamaleela. However, he failed to make it impressive this time. It seems like a film made out of compulsion, with no real involvement or emotional attachment to it.
* Krishna Reddy has come out with another big disappointment with his music. The background score doesn’t help the cause either.
* Dialogues lack the required punch.
* Editing is okay.
* Tacky screenplay.
* Cinematography is poor.
* Production values are just fine.
 Analysis :-
“Yamaleela-2 is just the replica of Yamaleela with slight changes. This film is touted to be a good family entertainer with elements like comedy and sentiment. All those audience, who have missed Yamaleela can watch this Yamaleela-2 for a relief this weekend. If you have already watched Yamaleela, then this is really boring.
