Who will be the new Ram Lakhan?

      Last week Karan Johar announced his next production venture, the remake of Subhash Ghai's classic Ram Lakhan. The film will be directed by the hit-machine director Rohit Shetty and will release in 2016. Since there are no news about who'll play the roles of the good-cop Ram (played by Jackie Shroff) and the street-smart Lakhan (played by Anil Kapoor) yet, here's a list of few actors who we think will make a super hit Ram Lakhan jodi...

Ajay Devgn and Varun Dhawan

After Singham and Singham Returns it'll hardly be a challenge for Ajay Devgn to play the dutiful Ram. Being the good cop and fighting the goons is a cakewalk for him.  And Varun Dhawan who has proved to be a massy hero with Main Tera Hero will do total justice to the free-spirited Lakhan. We can already imagine Varun dancing to One Two Ka Four, Four Two Ka One. 

Salman Khan and Arjun Kapoor

Salman Khan has time and again been pretty vocal about his fondness for Arjun Kapoor. He is also the young actor's mentor. Recently there were reports that Arjun was going to play Salman's younger brother in Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo. These two actors can surely bring out the bromance on silver screen with much ease. They'll be perfect for a Ram Lakhan. Donch think?

Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh

Both Aamir and Salman have played cops before and now it'll be interesting to watch SRK don the khakhi uniform. He'll be super convincing as a good cop and at keeping a tab on his younger brother (a la Main Hoon Naa). On the other hand Ranveer Singh, with his madness is tailor made for the character of Lakhan. Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh can be best brothers forever. 

Hrithik Roshan and Sidharth Malhotra

Now these two hunks together in one frame will make us all drool and how!  After watching the teaser of Bang Bang we're sure to believe that  Hrithik can blow off cars in pure Rohit Shetty style. That makes him pretty apt for playing Ram. Sidharth Malhotra on the other hand needs to unleash himself on screen and show his free spirited side.  All in all it'll be a delight to watch this dream team come on board. 

Abhishek Bachchan and Tiger Shroff

We can place our safe bets on Abhishek Bachchan playing the good cop who walks on the right path (ACP Jai Dixit rings a bell, right?). He's also pro to Rohit Shetty's twists and remakes ( Remember Bol Bachchan?). New talent on the block, Tiger Shroff can essay the role of  Lakhan with ease too. Tigers flexing his muscles and rocking the dance floor with his killer moves will be worth a watch. Also the fact that his dad Jackie Shroff played Ram in the original will add a touch of nostalgia to the film.
