“Happy New Year Is All About What Bollywood Stands For” – Shah Rukh Khan

Hasn’t it become a norm that at every Shah Rukh Khan event, a question regarding Salman Khan will pop up and vice versa at Salman’s events. Yesterday, at an event held to promote upcoming film Mad About Dance (MAD), when a journalist asked SRK to revert on the title of King Khan, the superstar said, “At this stage of career, titles don’t matter. We just pray for films to turn out well. Bas agli wali sahi ban jaye! I am thankful to anyone who thinks of me as the King.” While the reference was Salman saying at the event launch of Roar  that SRK is the King of Bollywood and must remain that. SRK acknowledged the same yesterday without name taking.
The actor who is now promoting M.A.D spoke about Happy New Year saying, “I am scared of dancing but even my film is about dance.”
Talking about the trailer of the year’s much awaited film which is to release on the 14th of this month, the actor said, “I like the trailer of HNY.We are trying to create an evening of dance, music and glamor at the trailer launch. Our dream was to make a film that’s all about Bollywood. Obviously it is Farah Khan’s film but I feel so happy to be associated with it. Whenever I go abroad and meet people, there is a certain perception of Bollywood. It is all about song and dance. We have attempted to make a film that stands for everything Bollywood is symbolic of. From happiness to sensuality, it is all there. It’s an entertainer that will entertain. I believe in doing my best and leave the rest. We all have done our best. I am not nervous about it. I feel like a wedding planner right now preparing for trailer launch. Dahi Bhalle sahi bana hai ya nahi is my job.The beginning is all well so Inshallah the ending too will be good!”
Shah Rukh Khan’s Happy New Year is all set to release this Diwali and given Kick‘s success, it is important that this film performs better. The trailer of the film will release on 14th and much of the hype will build from there.
