The teaser of Surya and Samantha
starrer Anjaan (Sikander in Telugu) has grabbed the eyeballs of the audience in
both Kollywood and Tollywood.
The film directed by Lingusamy is already riding on huge expectations and garnered craze among trade circles. Reportedly, the distribution rights of the Telugu version have been fetching record price for the makers. The ceded territory was sold for Rs 2.75 crore which is a record among Surya films.
Also, this is an amazing deal considering the fate of dubbed films in the past one year. Insiders say that the distribution rights in Andhra and Telangana alone could fetch over Rs 15 crore.
Needless to say the combination of Surya and Samantha has strike a chord with the local distributors and apparently worked in favour of the makers. Lagadapati Sridhar is producing Sikander that is poised for release on August 15.
