Dawn of the Planet of the Apes Collections

           Dawn of the Planet of the Apes was released across North America in 3,967 theaters of which 3,133 locations were in 3D. It earned $4.1 million from midnight screenings (Thursday) from 2,750 theatres. The film did better than its predecessor, Rise of the Planet of the Apes which earned $1.3 million during its midnight screening (up 215%).On it's opening day, the film grossed $27,700,000.

       Overseas, the film was released in over 28 territories including Australia and South Korea and will continue to be released in other territories after the 2014 World Cup
