Synopsis & Plot :
The movie Manam is undoubtedly one of the most awaited film in Telugu film industry just because of two reasons. 1. ANR’s last film, 2.ANR, Nagarjuna & Naga Chaitanya acted in this film. Let us see if this film meets the excitement of audience?
I don’t want to spoil the mood of readers who are going to watch this film by revealing the plot just because I have watched the premier show. Somehow I feel ridiculous because it kills your thrill and excitement to know the story by yourself. But in simple terms I can say that it is a tale of rebirth and love of three different generation which is elegantly knitted on the silver screen.

Performance:
ANR (Akkineni Nageshwar Rao): He is a true legend when it comes to family movies, love stories and devotional films. He is a treat to watch on silver screen with such a beautiful role. Telugu audience must thank him for acting in his last days bearing the pain due to his illness. His onscreen chemistry with grandson Naga Chaitanya is a must watch.

Nagarjuna: Nagarjuna has put his heart and soul in this film. This is the show stealer. This is his all time best in his entire cine career. He has shown varying emotions with ease and confidence. One can clearly witness the kind of acting which comes with only experience.

Naga Chaitanya: He has shown decent acting in this film. I can confidently say this is his best so far, but still with some ‘buts…’. His character has different shades as he portrayed two different characters like one elder and younger roles. But he has done with ease. Though he needs to improve few things like emotions and expressions.

Samantha: Samantha is a proven actress. We have seen her fine acting skills in Dookudu, Ye maya chesave etc.. IN this film also she has shown the best performance. She brought elegance to the movie.

Shriya: She is simply classic and mind blowing in her role. Her role was crafted so beautifully that you will definitely fall in love with her.

Brahmi, MS Narayana, Posani: They did their best and made the film as a full treat.

Amithab Bachhan, Akhil Akkineni, Amala: They acted in special characters and among these three, Akhil surprises you with his screen presence. You can clearly see a true heir of Nagarjuna in him. Amithab is a treat in cameo.

Direction: Vikram Kumar must be appreciated for taking a complex story line of three generation but makes it so simple for the audience to adopt it. It is purely his brilliant screenplay and direction capabilities that makes the story enduring in the Telugu film industry.

Music:  Music director Anoop steals your heart to the core. This kind of movie needs a soothing music and should blend seamlessly with the story. Anoop made sure the music is not separated from the story of the film.

Julayi Analysis: The movie takes its sweet time to take you into the movie. Of course it due to the genre of the film and so complex characters. Comedy and some scenes in the first half are very good. Interval bang is good. Second half is a treat with top notch performances by Nagarjuna, Shriya and ANR.

Plus:

ANR last film and his top performance
ANR, Nagarjuna, Chaitu together acted in this film
Performances of artists
Cinematography
Soothing love story with family values
Minus:

Little slow narration some times
No mass masala elements if you expect.
Weak Comedy
SnowWide

Verdict:
Go and watch. It is a great tribute you will give to a legend ANR.
