Bhoothnath Returns

Bhoothnath Returns is an Indian horror comedy film directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced jointly by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ravi Chopra and co-produced by Ajay kapoor. A sequel to 2008 film Bhoothnath, the film features Amitabh Bachchan in a leading role followed by Parth Bhalerao Boman Irani in a supporting role. As shared by Bachchan on Twitter, shooting of the film began on 10 October 2013. The film also has a cameo appearance of Shahrukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor.

The film released on 11 April 2014.Yo Yo Honey Singh has composed one of the songs in this film titled Party with the Bhootnath.

The plot is linked with its previous version Bhoothnath.When Bhoothnath alias Kailash Nath (Amitabh Bachchan) enters Bhoothworld (Ghosts' world) he is mocked there and questioned about his abilities as a ghost as he was unsuccessful to scare any child. In order to clear his name he goes back to Earth where he tries his best to scare kids but only a village kid named Akhrot can see him who is not scared from him.He helps Bhoothnath to scare a few children in return for acting to be scared of him and to run away of a haunted house when he chants mantras in front of his friends,so that his friends take him in their cricket team .Bhoothnath decides to help him more by helping him to earn money so that he could manage his house hold since he is fatherless, his mother does not earn and he lives in poverty in a scary yet fair manner.He soon gets to know about Bhau (Boman Irani),a hooligoon on the street who became a corrupt politician.After having seen the amount of corruption in India and encouraged by Akhrot,he stood up for the elections.Soon,a fight ensuse,to the extent that bhootnath sacrifices his powers in order to win.One day before the elections,a parivartan rally is held by bhoothnath. Bhau's men tell Akhrot to tell bhootnath via self to withdraw from the elections and if he does not comply with them, he will be killed.He does not tell this to bhootnath and is ready to face the consequences just because he wants bhoothnath to win.He was hit by an iron rod on Bhau's orders and this was witnessed by his mother who took him to the hospital. Bhoothnath arrives there leaving his rally just to find Akhrot unconcious,fight for his life.He goes to Bhoothworld and begs for his life.They came to a decision that if Bhootnath wins the election they will spare Akhrot's life,but he loses,Akhrot will lose his life.Meanwhile,Bhau uses full advantage of Bhoothnath's absence at the rally.The next day,waiting anxiously for the results,Bhootnath suddenly sees Akhrot's heartbeat rising and realises that he has won the elections.The film ends with Akhrot regaining conciousnous and everybody celebrating the success of Bhoothnath.
